Vessel Ownership/Management

As the owner, Niksam will oversee the day-to-day shipping operations that include; liaising with charter party for voyage orders/planning, monitoring the operations & performance data of the vessel, coordinating with vessel operators on technical and performance matters, oversee vessel utilization and maintenance periods, ship-to-shore interface management and determining bunkering requirements and fuel strategy management.  

A major component to ensure the vessel has no down time is the identification and evaluation of all marine operational risk that will comprise of; risk assessments, port and terminal assessments, marine audits and reviews, vessel vetting and safety performance, ensuring ship-shore compatibility and technical interface issues, guaranteeing regulatory compliance and continuously reviewing the operator's contingency and emergency response planning.   

The commercial team within Niksam develops and maintains shipping market intelligence that give us the competitive edge for new charters and vessels.
